Arrival!

A mere 8 million years later, I've made it safely to Eric's apartment in Doha. The flight from Ottawa to Frankfurt was fairly uneventful, except for the movie console wasn't working meaning I had to play a lot more 'paper toss' and 'doodle jump' than I ever thought possible for one plane ride. Thank you Alex Moon for those last minute downloads...

Along the way I also noted the relative multitude of cultures boarding the plane to Doha (which actually touched down to drop off passengers in Saudi Arabia before the final leg to Qatar)



And was a bit shocked at the warning on the customs & immigration form they had to fill out:


Sometimes, I couldn't figure out where we were going because it was all in Arabic:






But we still made it, all the way to Doha!!!



Ahhhhh!!!

And yes, in case you were wondering, I did see a McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and Dairy Queen on my drive from the airport...
