A life size pearl, which sits outside the Islamic Art Museum (below, as described previously) at night time. In addition to the art history, there was an absolutely fantastic exhibit on pearls, how they are naturally formed (
really interesting, you should look it up!), their sizes, shapes, colours, and how they are 'genetically' engineered (really really cool if you are a science nerd)

(Observe the white ghost, ie a man dressed in his white thaub breezing by...)
At night, Eric & I went to the souk, ie outdoor market place. Cobble stoned streets, outoor restaurants with hookah, shops, gold shops, indoor hookah/tv/lounge places, jewelery shops, hookas for sale, more shops, more hookah (tough to get pictures, didn't want to offend people)
P.S. I've heard from a few that you've been enjoying my blog, and I thank you, because it's been quite tough to navigate in Arabic...

And does Facebook realize that its sidebar advertisements won't entice me if I have no idea what they are for?!

Chilling on the Corniche which surrounds the water (kind of like a bay). Across the bay you can see Doha's downtown, essentially a lot of very tall, kind of bright, kind of gaudy (but pretty at night) buildings.
Taking a little boat ride on the bay is always fun, good way to get better pictures (behind us you can see the downtown lights), chillax, enjoy the evening 'breeze', etc. It's also a good place to give your really awesome friend a hug, an act illegal between opposite sexes on land.
Phew, tired, but before we drive home, we should fill up on gas, the tank is EMPTY...
Shit! $27 ! But I spent all my money on the boat ride....... Oh, it's 27 Rials (Qatari Rials, QAR). Precisely $7.42 CDN ;-)
--> Off to Dubai, catch ya lata alligatas
